Help with moving and travel costs
You may be able to get help with your moving expenses. This depends on where your job is and your role.
Contact your line manager to see if you’re eligible for any of the following:
- flights - one way for permanent jobs or return for temporary roles.
- mileage allowance
- overnight accommodation
- relocation of personal belongings, including one vehicle.
Mobile phone coverage
Parts of our region have limited or no mobile phone reception. Please check with your provider about coverage before you get here.
There’s some mandatory training you’ll need to do before you start. Your line manager will give you access to our online platform – CWLearn.
If you already work for Queensland Health, you can download your training transcript so we can recognise your training.
Payroll, salary packaging and superannuation
- myHR - logon - online access to your pay slips, payment summaries and payroll enquiries. You are paid on a fortnightly cycle (10 days after end of fortnight).
- Salary packing providers are Remuneration Services (RemServ) and SmartSalary.
Ask your line manager if there’s a uniform or dress code you need to get or know about before you start.
