The Tambo Trotters headed off to Brisbane at the end of August to tackle the 10 Kilometre Bridge to Brisbane walk to raise money for their nominated charity of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Months of crawling out of bed at 5.30am paid off as they set out with 30,000 plus other participants to make it to the finish line.

The Tambo Trotters were a stand out on the day in their hot pink polo shirts sponsored by Brown Dog Concrete.

A new course this year saw the trotters winding their way from Roma Street Parklands, over three of Brisbane’s bridges and finishing at South Bank.

The keen trotters mapped their day on their phones and ended up walking 19 kilometres around Brisbane by the time they arrived at the start line and got their aching feet back home.

A great weekend was had by all and the Trotters will be going again next year.

Tambo Trotters walk Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6am, so come and join us for next years’ Bridge to Brisbane.
